What that means for you

01

One surgeon, start to finish

Dr. Baek personally handles every consultation, operation and follow-up. There is no shadow doctor and no hand-off between a counsellor and an operating surgeon.

02

A deliberately small day

The clinic caps the schedule at roughly one patient an hour and two surgeries a day, so each case has unhurried planning, surgery and review at one, three and six months.

03

Operate on what you came for

The stated approach is to address the concern you arrived with rather than expanding the plan — and to prevent foreseeable complications rather than chase maximum change.

04

Built for international patients

Registered with Korea’s foreign-patient programme, with an English-speaking coordinator who handles photos, scheduling and after-care for visitors.

A focused, high-volume practice

Two areas carry the most volume; lifting is where the editorial archive on this site already ranks.

Comparing clinics? Start with the guides

If you’re still researching, the editorial archive on this site covers how to choose and plan facial surgery in Korea.

Common questions

Does the same surgeon perform the operation?
Yes. Garnet is a single-surgeon practice, so Dr. Baek handles the consultation, the surgery and the follow-up visits himself, and the clinic does not use a separate operating doctor.
What does Garnet focus on?
Eye surgery, rhinoplasty and facial lifting, alongside fat grafting and contouring. Eye surgery and rhinoplasty are the highest-volume areas, each with more than ten thousand recorded cases since 2011.
Where is the clinic?
On the fifth floor of the ISA Building at 51 Apgujeong-ro 30-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, about five minutes on foot from Apgujeong Station, exit 3.
What are the trademarked procedures?
Registered technique names include the Quad Plus lower blepharoplasty, Two-way epicanthoplasty, Wide-angle lateral canthoplasty, Round eye correction, the Pentafix forehead lift, the Deep mini facelift, the Pelican neck procedure and the Fixpoint thread lift. The registration covers the named technique, not a promise of results.
Can international patients consult before travelling?
Yes. You can send photographs and questions through the WhatsApp button on this page, and a coordinator will respond before you plan a trip.
What are the opening hours?
Monday to Friday 10:00–19:00 and Saturday 10:00–16:00. The clinic is closed on Sundays and public holidays.
Can I consult in English before I travel?
Yes. An English-speaking coordinator handles enquiries. You can send photographs and questions through the WhatsApp button or the form on this page, and you’ll get an honest pre-assessment before you book a flight.
How long should I stay in Korea?
It depends on the procedure. As a general guide, sutures for eye surgery are usually removed about a week after surgery, so many international patients plan a stay of roughly 7–10 days. The coordinator confirms timing for your specific plan.
Do you perform revision surgery from another clinic?
Yes. Dr. Baek performs revision rhinoplasty and other revisions, drawing on rib cartilage, donor cartilage, dermis or fascia depending on the case. Bring any records and photos you have for the consultation.
Which type of anaesthesia is used?
It varies by procedure — many eyelid procedures are done under local anaesthesia with light sedation, while longer facial procedures may use deeper sedation. The approach is explained and agreed at the consultation.
Will the same surgeon follow up after surgery?
Yes. Because Garnet is a single-surgeon practice, Dr. Baek reviews your healing himself, typically at set intervals after surgery. International patients can also be followed up by messenger after returning home.
How do bookings and deposits work?
Garnet runs by appointment for one-to-one consultations. After a photo-based pre-assessment the coordinator confirms availability and any deposit needed to hold a surgery date; payment details are explained before you commit.
